Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language
• Eligibility or willingness to obtain VQAS Level III or a 3.5 EIPA score (final requirement to be determined)
• Completion of a Virginia Department of Social Services background check (to be initiated immediately upon hire)
• Completion of a VA TB Test
• Experience in educational settings strongly preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing assignments and schedules

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver accurate, effective interpretation for students across various grade levels and classroom settings
• Support communication between students, staff, and families as assigned
• Travel to different campuses as needed, based on district demand
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
• Collaborate with faculty and administration to optimize support for students who are Deaf or hard of hearing
