Qualifications:

  • Current state licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter (ASL required; Spanish or MSL a big plus)
  • Experience interpreting in educational or school settings preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work one-on-one with middle school students in classroom and other educational environments

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 interpreting support for a middle school student throughout the school day
  • Interpret in classroom settings, extracurricular activities, and educational events
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to create an inclusive learning environment
  • Support student communication and participation
