Work Hours: Full-time, onsite
Job Description:
An excellent opportunity is available for a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) supporting students in Forsyth County, Georgia. This full-time, onsite position will provide 1:1 interpreting support at Alliance Academy while also floating between assignments as needed. The ideal candidate will be a reliable and experienced interpreter who can collaborate effectively with students, educators, and school staff to ensure access to instruction and communication throughout the school day.
Qualifications:
- Active Georgia Department of Education SLI license required and must be in hand to be presented
- School-based interpreting experience preferred
- Experience providing 1:1 student support preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work onsite and provide flexible support across assignments
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 sign language interpreting services for students
- Support communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers
- Facilitate access to classroom instruction and school activities
- Collaborate with educators and school teams to support student communication needs
- Float between assignments as needed based on school requirements
- Maintain confidentiality and professional interpreting standards
