A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to make a real difference in a students educational journey during the 2026/2027 school year. This role focuses on providing dedicated 1:1 interpretation services for a high school student in a supportive school environment, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (required)
• Proficiency in American Sign Language and familiarity with educational settings
• Previous experience working 1:1 with students, preferably at the high school level
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with educators and support staff
• Reliability and commitment to consistent attendance throughout the school year

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver accurate and contextually appropriate sign language interpretation between the student, staff, and peers in classroom and school activities
• Support the students access to the curriculum and involvement in school events
• Assist with clarification and note-taking as needed to ensure understanding
• Maintain the highest level of professional ethics and confidentiality
• Participate in team meetings, as requested, regarding the students progress and needs
