Job Description

Experience a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact supporting students in an educational setting as a Sign Language Interpreter. This onsite, full-time position focuses on delivering essential ASL interpretation services at a single school site for the full academic school year, from August 19th through June 4th, 2027. In this vital role, youll work exclusively with one student and be designated to their K-12 classroom, ensuring a consistent and supportive environment.

Qualifications:

  • Current Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) Certificate for the state of Washington
  • Minimum EIPA score of 4.0
  • Experience working with students using American Sign Language in an educational or classroom setting is highly valued
  • Strong communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to inclusivity

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide precise, effective sign language interpretation in a classroom for one designated student
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to facilitate seamless communication and access to curriculum
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
  • Maintain professionalism and uphold confidentiality in all interactions and documentation
  • Monitor and adapt services to align with each students evolving needs throughout the school year
