Qualifications:
- Current Washington State Sign Language Interpreter certification required
- Previous school-based interpreting experience preferred
- Strong American Sign Language (ASL) proficiency
- Confidence navigating K-12 school settings
- Ability to adapt communication styles to fit age, academic, and social contexts
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or classroom sign language interpreting for students (K-12)
- Ensure clear communication between students, staff, and peers
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with educators and service providers
- Maintain student confidentiality and professionalism at all times
