Position Summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a qualified Sign Language Interpreter to support a school district in Federal Way, WA for the full 20242025 school year. This fulltime position is based at one school site, offering stability and the opportunity to work closely with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across K12 grade levels.

The district is open to placing the interpreter in a preferred age group, making this a great fit for candidates who thrive in specific developmental stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Student Interpretation Provide highquality ASL interpretation for students in classroom and school settings

• Teacher & Staff Collaboration Support communication between students, teachers, and service providers

• IEP Support Assist in implementing communicationrelated goals

• K12 Flexibility Work with students across grade levels depending on preference and district needs

• Professional Conduct Maintain confidentiality and adhere to interpreter ethics and district policies

Qualifications

• Active Washington Sign Language Interpreter certification

• Proficiency in ASL and educational interpreting

• Experience in school settings preferred

• Ability to support students across K12 (or specify preferred age group)
