Key Qualifications:

• Proven skills as a Sign Language Interpreter, with experience in educational environments
• Ability to support students individually (1:1), particularly within pediatric and school-age populations
• Familiarity with K-5, middle school, kindergarten, pre-school, and pre-K settings
• A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for diverse learners
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Credentialed or certified as required by state or local guidelines

Responsibilities:

• Deliver clear, accurate sign language interpretation for students during instructional sessions and school activities
• Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and support staff to ensure full participation and comprehension
• Adapt interpreting techniques to suit different ages and educational stages, from pre-K to middle school
• Advocate for student needs and help facilitate their engagement in both academic and social opportunities within the school community
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions, adhering to school policies and interpreter ethics
