Job Description

A full-time Sign Language Interpreter (ASL) position is available at a K-12 school located in Falmouth, ME. This contract role will span the current school year (CSY) and requires onsite work providing direct interpretation services to students across all grade levels.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid ME Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) License
  • Experience working with K-12 students preferred
  • Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and staff

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct sign language interpreting services to students in classroom and school settings
  • Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and other personnel to support learning
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards while working with students
  • Participate in meetings and planning sessions as needed to meet student needs

Location: Onsite at a school facility in Falmouth, ME
