A school district near Evans, GA is in search of a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to deliver in-person support for students through the end of the 2026-2027 academic year. In this role, you will ensure students have full access to instructional content and interactions with educators and classmates, serving as an essential resource for communication facilitation within the school community.

Your strengths in American Sign Language will empower students to participate more fully in their educational experience, while you collaborate closely with staff and peers throughout the day. The position is contract-based, with the caseload and specific assignments to be determined.

Ideal Qualifications:

• EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (documentation required)
• Ability to work full-time, on-site only
• Prior school-based interpreting experience is preferred
• Possession (or eligibility to obtain) all applicable state and professional credentials

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa in classroom and school settings
• Support student access to curriculum, activities, and events
• Facilitate effective communication between students, teachers, and peers
• Collaborate with educational teams to promote student inclusion and success
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
