What Were Looking For:
- Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI), proficient in American Sign Language
- Minimum score of 3.5 on the EIPA, with the Written portion required
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and families
- Experience interpreting in a K12 school environment is highly valued
- Professionalism, flexibility, and adaptability in a diverse educational community
What Youll Do:
- Provide direct interpretation services to students, staff, and parents in an educational environment
- Facilitate communication between Deaf/hard-of-hearing students and their hearing peers, teachers, and school staff
- Adapt signing styles to match student grade levels and learning needs
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all school district policies and ethical guidelines
- Contribute positively to classroom engagement and student participation
Additional Details:
- Full-time, 37.5 hour per week contract during the 20262027 school year
- Onsite position, with possible virtual options considered as the school year approaches
