What Were Looking For:

• Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI), proficient in American Sign Language
• Minimum score of 3.5 on the EIPA, with the Written portion required
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and families
• Experience interpreting in a K12 school environment is highly valued
• Professionalism, flexibility, and adaptability in a diverse educational community

What Youll Do:

• Provide direct interpretation services to students, staff, and parents in an educational environment
• Facilitate communication between Deaf/hard-of-hearing students and their hearing peers, teachers, and school staff
• Adapt signing styles to match student grade levels and learning needs
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all school district policies and ethical guidelines
• Contribute positively to classroom engagement and student participation

Additional Details:

• Full-time, 37.5 hour per week contract during the 20262027 school year
• Onsite position, with possible virtual options considered as the school year approaches
