Job Description

A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support students and staff in educational settings. This role involves travel to various school locations in the Des Plaines, IL area, providing vital communication assistance to ensure accessibility and inclusion for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa during classroom instruction, meetings, and events.
  • Facilitate effective communication among students, teachers, and staff members.
  • Collaborate with educators to support lesson delivery and student engagement.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional codes of conduct.
