A travel opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to provide essential communication support in a school setting. This role involves working directly with students, educators, and staff to facilitate effective communication and inclusion for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals.

Responsibilities include interpreting spoken language into sign language and vice versa during classroom instruction, meetings, and school activities. The interpreter will ensure accurate and clear communication to support educational access and engagement. Collaboration with teachers, students, and families to enhance the learning environment is also a key part of this position.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with strong interpreting skills
• Previous experience in educational or school-based interpreting
• Ability to travel to various school locations as required
• Understanding of deaf culture and educational terminology
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Certification as a sign language interpreter is preferred
