Exciting opportunity for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter seeking a dynamic contract position near Denver, CO! This onsite role supports a full-time, full-school-year schedule, working across a variety of educational settings with both Special Education and General Education students, ranging from mild to severe needs. As an itinerant interpreter, you'll enjoy variety in your day, serving multiple school sites and collaborating with a diverse team of educators.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold an EIPA Score of 3.5 or higher.
- Certification and experience as a professional Sign Language Interpreter in school settings.
- Comfortable working with a full range of student needs, including both SPED and Gen Ed.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to foster collaboration among staff, students, and families.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and manage a flexible, multi-site caseload.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality sign language interpretation during classroom instruction, assemblies, extracurricular activities, and school meetings.
- Support effective communication and accessibility for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and support staff to promote inclusive learning environments.
- Travel to multiple school sites as assigned, maintaining timely and organized schedules.
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism while following district and state interpreting standards.
