Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Sign Language Interpreter near Denver, CO. In this on-site role, youll provide dedicated one-on-one interpretation services for an elementary-aged student, helping facilitate engagement and inclusion during the school year. This position runs from August 6, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid EIPA 4.0 certification required
- Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and interpreting for school-aged children
- Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in an educational setting strongly preferred
- Comfortable working exclusively in-person with elementary students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a supportive environment
- Strong professionalism, adaptability, and a team-focused attitude
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide real-time sign language interpretation in classroom and school settings for an individual elementary student
- Collaborate closely with educators, school staff, and families to ensure clear communication and understanding
- Adapt interpretation style to suit the needs, pace, and developmental level of the student
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical guidelines in all interactions
- Participate in team meetings and contribute insights for student success
- Assist with educational activities or assignments as appropriate to support learning objectives
