Qualifications and Experience:

  • Flexibility to adapt interpreting between classrooms, meetings, and extracurricular activities
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
  • Eagerness to work as part of a multidisciplinary educational team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide real-time interpretation services for students during class instruction, assemblies, and school events
  • Translate instructional materials and assignments as needed
  • Support teachers and staff in understanding best practices for interacting with students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Ensure confidentiality and maintain professional boundaries in all interactions
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to student Individualized Education Plan (IEP) processes
  • Foster student confidence and independence in the educational setting
