This full-time contract position is located near Colonial Beach, VA, and will have you working with elementary grades, providing essential communication access for multiple students throughout the academic year.

Your expertise will facilitate meaningful classroom engagement, helping students thrive by ensuring their needs are understood and met. Youll work closely with faculty and support staff in a collaborative environment that values your contributions.

Key Qualifications:

• Certification as an Intervener is required
• Demonstrated proficiency in sign language interpretation within educational settings
• Experience supporting elementary-age students preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and student accommodations is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and activities for students in elementary grades
• Adapt communication methods to meet individual student needs
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to foster inclusive learning
• Facilitate peer interactions and participation for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Maintain accurate records related to student progress and services provided
