Make a real difference in a students academic journey by using your expertise as an American Sign Language Interpreter. This contract role calls for a dedicated professional ready to provide on-site communication support for a high school student throughout the academic day. With a full-time schedule, youll engage one-on-one and ensure access to curriculum, fostering an inclusive classroom environment.

What youll bring:

• Active Georgia Educational Interpreter/GaPSC Certification
• Either an RID Certification or an EIPA score of 3.5 or above
• Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter within educational settings is a plus
• Availability to work a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday
• Strong commitment to supporting students educational access and participation
• Confidence interpreting for adolescents in secondary school contexts
• Reliable transportation and ability to be consistently on-site

What youll do:

• Interpret classroom instruction, peer interactions, and extracurricular activities
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and support specialists to support student goals
• Assist the students understanding and participation in school life
• Adapt communication strategies to meet individual student needs
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and flexibility throughout each school day

This opportunity runs from ASAP through May 28, 2027, at 37.5 hours per week. Youll enjoy the chance to develop strong rapport with a single high school studentmaking a direct impact every day. On-site presence is required; remote or hybrid options are not available.
