Step into a vital support role working with students who are deaf and hard of hearing at one dedicated school site within the greater Fort Myers area. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity where your sign language interpreting expertise will make a profound daily difference, serving elementary, middle, or high school studentsopenings are available at all three levels.

You'll engage in both one-on-one and occasional group interpreting, promoting access to education and communication for your assigned students throughout the school day. Start as soon as possible and continue through the end of the school year in May 2027.

Ideal candidates will bring professionalism and a passion for educational support, along with:

• A minimum EIPA score of 3.0 or higher
• Experience working as a sign language interpreter, preferably within school settings
• Willingness to complete required fingerprinting and credentialing steps for school district placement
• Ability to effectively facilitate communication between DHH students and staff
• Flexibility to support students across various grade levels
• Commitment to collaborating closely with educators and related service teams

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing interpretation during classroom instruction, school events, and daily interactions
• Supporting DHH students individually and in small group settings
• Ensuring confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in every interaction
• Assisting with classroom integration and supporting student engagement
• Participating in IEP meetings and staff consultations, as appropriate
