An opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to provide essential communication support within educational settings. This role focuses on facilitating effective interaction between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their educators, ensuring equal access to instructional content and school activities. The position involves travel to various school locations within the Burnsville, MN area, offering diverse work environments and engagement with a range of student needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with strong interpreting skills
  • Experience interpreting in K-12 educational settings is highly preferred
  • Ability to accurately convey information in both receptive and expressive contexts
  • Strong understanding of deaf culture and communication nuances
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, teachers, and families
  • Flexibility to travel between different school sites

Responsibilities:
