Step into a dynamic educational setting by providing essential support as a Sign Language Interpreter for students in need of communication access. This contract role offers a rewarding experience delivering 1:1 interpreting services within a supportive school environment. Working onsite, youll split your time between Alliance Academy and floating to other locations as required, ensuring that diverse student needs are met.

Key Qualifications:

• Active GA DOE SLI License is required and must be in hand for consideration
• Experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational or school-based settings strongly preferred
• Ability to adapt seamlessly when floating between assignments and environments
• Proficient in American Sign Language and familiar with educational terminology
• Professional, reliable, and able to maintain student confidentiality at all times

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 interpreting services for students, facilitating clear communication between students, staff, and peers
• Support classroom learning, activities, and events through precise interpretation
• Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and administrators to ensure student needs are met
• Maintain thorough documentation of interpreting services as required by the district
• Serve as an advocate for accessible communication and student inclusion in all educational settings

This role begins as soon as possible and runs through May 27th, 2027, offering a full-time schedule throughout the school year. Youll play a vital part in fostering an inclusive, supportive learning atmosphere for every student you serve.
