A school district in Buffalo, NY is seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support students and staff within their educational environment. This role involves facilitating clear communication between hearing-impaired students, their peers, and educators to promote an inclusive and accessible learning atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and effective sign language interpretation during classroom instruction, meetings, and school events
- Assist students in understanding lessons and participating fully in educational activities
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and support staff to meet individual communication needs
- Travel between school locations as required to deliver interpretation services consistently
