Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid SLI license required for consideration
• Experience interpreting within K-12 schools strongly preferred
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with school-based terminology
• Strong communication, professionalism, and adaptability in diverse educational settings
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity regarding student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpreting in real-time for classroom instruction, school meetings, events, and extracurricular activities
• Supporting both individual students and small groups as needed, adapting to various learning levels
• Collaborating with special education and general education teams to support instructional objectives
• Assisting in fostering self-advocacy and confidence among students receiving interpreting services
• Participating in ongoing training and professional development as appropriate
