This role offers a dynamic opportunity for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to work with elementary school students across multiple locations. Serving an itinerant caseload, you will interpret between five different school buildings, providing essential communication access for students in various educational settings. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide sign language interpretation services to elementary school students across five different buildings.
- Support communication between students, teachers, and staff within diverse educational settings.
- Adapt to itinerant and float schedules, managing a caseload spread throughout multiple schools.
- Maintain professional standards and confidentiality in all interactions.
- Collaborate with educational teams to support students access to curriculum and school activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 3.5 EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score required; 4.0 preferred.
- Experience interpreting in schools, particularly in elementary settings, highly desirable.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel between multiple school buildings.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently across various locations.
- Previous experience as an itinerant or float interpreter is an advantage.
