What you'll bring:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in educational settings
- Ability to interpret for a range of developmental ages (Kindergarten and 3rd grade)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Open to candidates with or without formal certification
- Commitment to professionalism and student confidentiality
Your responsibilities:
- Provide interpretation services between spoken English and ASL for students, teachers, and staff
- Support kindergarten and 3rd-grade students throughout their school day within a single assigned school
- Assist with educational activities, classroom participation, and social interaction
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to foster an inclusive learning environment
- Participate in any required onboarding and district training to ensure readiness and compliance
