A full-time Sign Language Interpreter position is available at a school in Basalt, CO, offering a contract role from ASAP through the end of the current school year. This opportunity involves providing interpretation services for two students requiring sign language support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate communication by interpreting between hearing-impaired students and teachers, staff, and peers
• Collaborate with a paraeducator assigned for additional student support
• Ensure accurate and effective communication in classroom and school settings
• Adapt interpreting strategies to meet individual student needs effectively

Qualifications:

• Certification or demonstrated proficiency as a Sign Language Interpreter
• Experience interpreting in educational environments preferred
• Strong understanding of Deaf culture and communication methods
• Ability to work collaboratively with educational staff and support personnel

Location: Basalt, Colorado
Employment Type: Full-time contract (W2) from immediate start through the end of the school year
