This full-time, full-school year contract opportunity is based onsite near Aurora, CO, serving multiple school locations as an itinerant interpreter supporting both Special Education and General Education classroomsranging from mild to severe needs. Your skills will play a pivotal role in creating inclusive learning environments where every student has the chance to thrive.

Key Qualifications:

  • EIPA score of 3.5 or higher is required
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language and a deep understanding of Deaf culture
  • Previous experience interpreting in school settings, ideally across diverse ability levels
  • Ability to adapt communication style for various age groups and learning needs
  • Flexibility to travel between multiple campus sites
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with educators and support staff
  • Professionalism, dependability, and attention to confidentiality

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver clear and effective sign language interpretation for students in both special education and general education classrooms
  • Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers, supporting both academic and social interactions
  • Adjust interpreting techniques based on student needs and classroom activities
