Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • EIPA score of 3.5 or higher required
  • Background in interpreting for elementary-age students
  • Experience in both 1:1 and small group educational settings
  • Comfortable working onsite in a school environment
  • Strong knowledge of American Sign Language, with the ability to interpret accurately in a classroom setting

Position Highlights:

  • Provide interpreting services for elementary students, serving both individual students and small groups depending on caseload needs
  • Facilitate communication between Deaf/Hard of Hearing students, their peers, and educators
  • Support classroom activities and academic content, ensuring equal access for all students
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to adapt materials and modify classroom communication when needed
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by school policies
