Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Must hold a valid license or permit from the Alabama Licensure Board for Interpreters and Transliterators (ALBIT)
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Prior experience in educational or school settings preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver clear and accurate ASL interpreting services to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
• Work onsite in a full-time capacity (37.5 hours/week)
• Support seamless communication between students, teachers, and staff
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure student success
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical interpreting standards
