Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must hold a valid license or permit from the Alabama Licensure Board for Interpreters and Transliterators (ALBIT)
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Prior experience in educational or school settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver clear and accurate ASL interpreting services to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
- Work onsite in a full-time capacity (37.5 hours/week)
- Support seamless communication between students, teachers, and staff
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure student success
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical interpreting standards
