Step into a meaningful opportunity working directly with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students as an onsite Sign Language Interpreter in an educational setting near Athens, AL. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate clear communication by interpreting spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa, helping to ensure equal access for students throughout the school day. Key Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Hold a current license or permit issued by the Alabama Licensure Board for Interpreters and Transliterators (ALBIT)
• Proven ability to interpret fluently between spoken English and ASL
• Professionalism, reliability, and a collaborative spirit
• Previous experience interpreting in school or educational settings preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, accurate interpreting services for students in classrooms and school activities
