Exciting opportunity for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to make a meaningful impact supporting K-12 students! This contract position offers full-time hours at 37.5 per week, with assignments spanning multiple schools and age groups. Youll work with learners who are Deaf or hard of hearing, fostering access to communication and supporting them in classroom and school settings. This is a chance to build professional relationships and facilitate inclusion for students in a vibrant educational community.

Your key qualifications:

• Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (preferably with appropriate state or national credentials)
• Compliance with California licensure or CTC requirements for interpreting in schools
• Experience working with K-12 students or in educational environments (highly desired)
• Strong fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Ability to interpret in real-time across a variety of settings and diverse student needs

Responsibilities include:

• Providing interpreting services for students, staff, and families in classrooms, school events, and related activities
• Collaborating with teachers and educational teams to support student participation and learning
• Maintaining professional confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards of interpretation
• Supporting student independence and self-advocacy within the school community
• Flexibly adapting to a variety of classroom environments and school locations
