Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with interpreting protocols within school settings.

• Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certification or equivalent credentials preferred.
• Ability to adapt to various classroom settings and subject matter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate, simultaneous, and consecutive interpreting during classroom lessons, assemblies, meetings, and extracurricular events.

• Facilitate effective communication between students, teachers, peers, and staff.
• Maintain detailed and confidential records of interpreting services as needed.
