Key Qualifications:

• Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Experience with educational or school-based interpreting, preferably in a 1:1 student setting
• Appropriate licensure or certification for interpreting in Colorado schools
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide consistent, high-quality 1:1 ASL interpretation for a student throughout the school day
• Facilitate effective communication between the student, peers, and school staff
• Support classroom learning by accurately interpreting lessons, discussions, and activities
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• Contribute to an inclusive and accessible learning environment
• Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions as needed
• Adapt interpreting style to meet the specific needs of the student
