This position seeks a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support K-12 students in a full-time contract role located in Arlington, Vermont. The assignment will run through the current school year, with an anticipated start date as soon as possible and a contract end date of June 16th. This opportunity involves working primarily with young students in Kindergarten and 3rd grade within a school setting.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing clear and accurate sign language interpretation services during the school day from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm
• Supporting effective communication between the students and their teachers, classmates, and other school staff
• Collaborating closely with paraeducators or other support personnel assigned to the students classrooms
• Adhering to school policies and participating in onboarding and training processes as required

Ideal candidates will have:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and experience as a Sign Language Interpreter
• Comfort working with young children in an educational setting, including Kindergarten and early elementary grades
• Flexibility to work fully on-site during school hours
• Openness to non-certified candidates; certification is welcomed but not required
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with educators and support staff
