What youll bring:

  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and experience interpreting in educational settings
  • Flexibility to work full-time from 8:30am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday
  • Ability to build rapport with young students and contribute to a positive learning experience
  • Readiness to collaborate with teachers and engage as an active team member
  • Either certified or non-certified interpreters considered; licensing flexibility provided
  • Respect for confidentiality and commitment to professional standards

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver sign language interpretation services between students and staff during classroom instruction and school activities
  • Facilitate clear communication to support each students educational and social development
  • Adapt your interpreting to varied age and skill levels
  • Participate in IEP meetings and coordinate with educators and parents as necessary
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with district, state, and federal guidelines
