Desired Qualifications:

  • Fully qualified to interpret in educational settings.
  • EIPA score of 3.0 or above, OR credentialed with RID: NIC, NAD, or Educational Certification (K-12, OTC).
  • Experience providing interpreter/translator services for deaf or hard-of-hearing students is highly desirable.
  • Ability to complete a district-specific two-part onboarding process, including document submission and procedural agreements.
  • Professionalism, strong communication skills, and commitment to ethical interpreter standards.

What Youll Do:

  • Deliver 1:1 sign language interpretation for a student, ensuring access to classroom content and school activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote student participation and success.
  • Adapt interpretation methods to suit individual student needs, developmental levels, and classroom context.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records as required by the school and contract.
  • Uphold confidentiality, district policies, and the highest standards of professional conduct.
