A school district in the Franklin area is seeking three skilled Sign Language Interpreters to support K-12 students in middle and high school settings. This full-time, contracted position offers the opportunity to work directly with the general education population, providing effective communication access through American Sign Language interpretation.

Responsibilities include:

• Facilitating communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and teachers in classroom environments
• Ensuring accurate, clear, and complete translation of spoken and signed language
• Collaborating with educators and support staff to support student academic success
• Adhering to confidentiality and professional standards at all times
• Attending meetings and trainings as required to maintain skills and stay updated on best practices

Preferred qualifications and experience:

• EIPA score of 3.5 or higher with the written exam successfully completed
• Proven experience working with K-12 students, preferably in public school settings
• Ability to interpret in fast-paced educational environments, supporting general education classrooms
• Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism

Location:

• Assignments will be at middle and high schools in the Franklin area

This contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the current school year, approximately May 22, 2026, with full-time hours from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
