Qualifications & Certifications
- Minimum 3.5 EIPA score required
- Valid GAPSC credential for interpreting
- Proven experience interpreting in educational environments preferred
- Strong American Sign Language (ASL) proficiency and clear, professional communication skills
- Adaptability to work across a range of ages and academic subjects
- Detail-oriented and able to adhere to the standards and confidentiality required during testing scenarios
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate sign language interpretation for students during district-wide testing
- Support comprehension and engagement for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring access to instructions and test materials
- Collaborate with educational staff, administrators, and other interpreters as needed
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions
- Adapt to various assignments and age groups as scheduled
