Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with strong receptive and expressive skills
Experience providing sign language interpretation, preferably in a school or educational environment
Valid certification, such as EIPA or RID (or state equivalent)
Familiarity with IEPs and accommodations for d/Deaf and hard of hearing students
Ability to interpret in a variety of classroom settings and extracurricular activities
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and needs in a school environment

Responsibilities:
Interpret live classroom instruction, assemblies, and other school events for students
Facilitate clear communication between students, teachers, and peers
Adapt interpretation methods to best serve individual student needs
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards for educational interpreters
Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to support student goals and success
Participate in meetings, training sessions, and professional development as required
