Seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support educational environments in Albany, NY, and surrounding areas. This travel position involves working within multiple school settings, providing essential communication access for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, faculty, and staff. The role offers dynamic experiences across various schools, enhancing inclusive learning and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate clear and accurate sign language interpretation during classroom instruction, meetings, and school events.
• Collaborate with teachers, students, and support staff to ensure effective communication.
• Adapt interpreting techniques to meet diverse educational needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional ethics in all interactions.
• Travel regularly between school locations within the Albany area.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with strong interpreting skills.
• Experience in educational settings as a sign language interpreter.
• Certification from a recognized interpreting body preferred.
