Enhance student well-being and make a lasting impact in a vibrant elementary school setting. A contract opportunity is now available for a skilled and compassionate school mental health professional to provide therapy, counseling, and social-emotional learning (SEL) support to elementary-aged students, beginning in early August and extending through the academic year.

In this role, you will primarily offer individualized counseling to approximately 15 students while also leading group sessions such as lunch bunches to strengthen SEL skills across the school community. Youll collaborate with school staff and participate in a supportive environment focused on helping students thrive both academically and emotionally.

Qualifications and Licensure Sought:

• Valid licensure as a School Counselor, LMFT/AMFT, LCSW with PPS, ACSW with PPS, or appropriate credential for providing mental health services in a school setting
• Demonstrated experience working with children or adolescents in a school environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Comfort supporting a diverse caseload and facilitating group interventions
• Commitment to fostering social-emotional growth and inclusion

Primary Functions:

• Deliver individualized counseling and mental health services to students as identified
• Organize and lead small group sessions and SEL activities
• Support staff with consultation, recommendations, and crisis intervention as needed
• Maintain confidential and thorough documentation of services provided
• Act as a resource for students, staff, and families to promote student resilience

This position offers a consistent weekly schedule of over 32.5 hours, all focused within one elementary school for continuity and relationship-building. Interviews will be held remotely, offering flexibility throughout the process.
