This contract position offers a unique part-time schedule (approximately 5-10 hours per week) beginning August 12, 2026, and running through June 4, 2027. Key Qualifications:

  • Hold one of the following certifications: Certificate from the California Board of Recreation and Park Certification Certificate from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification from the National Recreation and Park Association, enabling recreation or therapeutic recreation services
  • Previous experience in a K-12 school or pediatric setting as a Recreational or School Therapist is highly valued
  • Comfortable working across different school sites and providing virtual (VOCO) services
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with students, educators, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver weekly therapeutic recreation sessions for a caseload of four students, each requiring individualized durations and support strategies
  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and adapt interventions as needed
  • Participate in annual IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights to support student goals
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy provided and student outcomes
  • Collaborate with school professionals to ensure coordinated care and service delivery
