Make a meaningful impact in students lives using your creativity and therapeutic skills as an Art Therapist in a dynamic school environment. This part-time contract opportunity covers various sites across the district from August 19th through June 4th, working with a small caseload of 15 students. With set weekday hours and school holidays off, youll have a predictable schedule that allows you to focus on delivering exceptional care.

Qualifications:

• Active state licensure as an art therapist through the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists
• Previous experience in school settings or with children/adolescents preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with educators, families, and student support personnel
• Ability to adapt therapeutic modalities to meet varying student needs
• Reliable transportation to travel between district sites as needed

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group art therapy sessions for students referred by district professionals
• Assess student needs, develop treatment plans, and maintain progress documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support students social and emotional growth
• Participate in meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary teams for student support
• Create a safe, respectful, and welcoming therapy environment at all assigned district locations
• Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with district and state policies
