Job Description
Make a positive impact in the lives of elementary students while advancing your career as a School Psychologist. This contracted, part-time opportunity is based in the Zeeland/Saugatuck, MI area, where your expertise will help cultivate a supportive and inclusive school environment for young learners. Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure each child receives the academic, social, and emotional support they need to succeed.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid state certification or license to practice as a School Psychologist
- Prior experience in an elementary school setting strongly preferred
- Strong assessment, consultation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs)
- Knowledge of behavior intervention strategies and response-to-intervention (RTI)
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to support student learning and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to plan effective interventions
- Develop and help implement IEPs, 504 plans, and behavior support plans
- Offer crisis intervention services and provide recommendations for student success
- Support students' social-emotional growth through individual and small-group counseling
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation and reports in compliance with school policies
