Shape the future of students by supporting their educational and emotional growth across multiple school sites in a dynamic K-12 environment. A school district near Zachary, LA is seeking two dedicated School Psychologists for a part-time contract (29 hours per week) from July 27, 2026, through May 24, 2027. This role requires on-site presence, though some hybrid flexibility may be available. Youll be joining a multidisciplinary team serving multiple campuses, collaborating to provide comprehensive assessments and expert support for diverse student populations. A couple of professional development days will kick off the assignment, with attendance requested to ensure seamless onboarding.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Louisiana Department of Education certification in School Psychology
- Strong understanding of psychoeducational evaluations and IDEA compliance
- Proficiency in interpreting and reporting assessment data
- Knowledge of special education eligibility criteria and multidisciplinary processes
- Experience working with diverse student populations (K12)
- Exceptional communication skills to convey complex results to families and educators
- Proven organizational ability to meet strict evaluation timelines
- Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (diagnosticians, social workers, SLPs, administrators)
- Bilingual skills are highly valued!
- Successful completion of district fingerprinting and background check
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct educational and psychological assessments and deliver timely written reports
- Provide direct informational and referral support to students and families
- Consult with parents, educators, and school staff regarding strategies, interventions, and assessments
- Maintain accurate case files and documentation for service continuity and accountability
- Clarify assessment processes and results for staff and families
- Attend and contribute to in-service training and professional development activities
