Job Description

This contract opportunity is for skilled School Psychologists who are passionate about working with PreK through 8th-grade students. The position runs from June 1 to July 16, with a manageable part-time schedule of Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to noonideal for professionals seeking a rewarding, flexible role.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and active Louisiana Department of Education certification as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working with PreK-8 populations in educational settings
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
  • Familiarity with assessments, behavioral interventions, and counseling techniques for youth
  • District background check and fingerprinting required before start

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop support plans
  • Work one-on-one and in small groups with students to promote social-emotional learning and positive behavior
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to implement effective interventions
  • Maintain clear, confidential records and participate in student support meetings
  • Provide consultation and crisis intervention as needed
