Job Description

A full-time opportunity for a School Psychologist is available for the 2026-2027 academic year in Yuma, AZ. This onsite role serves PreK through 8th-grade students, providing essential psychological services within an elementary school setting. The position demands a committed professional ready to impact students' academic, social, and emotional well-being over the school year from August 3, 2026, to May 26, 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for PreK-8 students.
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies to support student learning and behavior.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Provide crisis intervention and counseling services as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and document student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Arizona Educator Certification in School Psychology.
  • Completion of IVP Fingerprint Card background check.
  • Experience working with PreK-8 student populations preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a variable caseload efficiently.

This position offers a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week with the potential for travel candidates who are willing to relocate and work onsite. The caseload will be determined and may fluctuate throughout the year, providing an opportunity to engage with a diverse range of student needs.
