This role offers an opportunity to provide essential psychological services within a dynamic school environment in Ypsilanti, MI. The focus is on supporting students' mental health, academic achievement, and overall well-being through evidence-based assessments and interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations to identify students learning needs and develop appropriate support plans.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to create individualized education programs (IEPs) and intervention strategies.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and service delivery.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to monitor student outcomes and adjust interventions accordingly.
- Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with school policies and legal requirements.
Desired Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience conducting comprehensive psychological assessments within educational settings.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state special education laws and guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working collaboratively with students, families, and staff.
