Key Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist license (Michigan DESE or eligibility required)
  • Recent experience in school-based settings, with a strong background in assessment, counseling, and consultation
  • Deep understanding of special education processesincluding IEPs, evaluations, and compliance
  • Exceptional communication skills to foster collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Adaptability and resourcefulness, with a commitment to equity and culturally responsive practice

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations, psychoeducational assessments, and report writing for K-12 students
  • Support the development of effective IEPs and intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to develop strategies that foster academic and emotional growth
  • Provide direct counseling/consultation services and crisis intervention as needed
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records and adhere to district/state compliance standards
  • May be assigned to multiple schools; caseloads will reflect a mixture of grade levels and support requirements
