Make an impact in the lives of students as a dedicated school psychologist working in a supportive educational environment near Ypsilanti, MI. This contract opportunity spans the academic year from August 25, 2026, to June 11, 2027, and offers both full-time and part-time possibilities, though full-time availability is preferred. Serving across the entire district, you'll work with diverse age groups and provide critical support that enhances student success.
Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of a masters or specialist-level degree in school psychology or a related field
- Current Michigan School Psychologist certification is required
- Experience conducting assessments, evaluations, and providing counseling in school settings
- Familiarity with district-wide service models and flexible caseload management
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities
- Ability to adapt interventions and supports for various student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer standardized assessments and interpret results for eligibility and planning
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to promote positive student outcomes
- Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings as a core member
- Support response-to-intervention (RTI) and other evidence-based school initiatives
- Maintain timely, accurate records and complete required documentation
- Travel between schools as needed to support district-wide assignments
