Job Description

A full-time school psychologist position is available at a K-12 school located in Yelm, WA. This role involves providing essential psychological support to students in a local correctional facility, working directly with incarcerated youth. The position requires onsite presence and offers a comprehensive caseload, including conducting assessments, evaluations, and re-evaluations, as well as collaboration with the IEP support team to ensure the best outcomes for each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments, evaluations, and re-evaluations for students in a correctional setting
  • Provide direct support and intervention to incarcerated youth
  • Collaborate with the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team to develop and implement tailored educational plans
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all legal and ethical guidelines
  • Participate in meetings and provide professional recommendations to support student success

Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist License in Washington State
  • Ability to successfully pass a stringent background check
  • Experience working with adolescent populations, preferably within correctional or residential settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to supporting diverse student needs in a challenging environment

Schedule and Location:

  • Full-time position (37.5 hours per week)
  • Onsite work required at the correctional facility located in Yelm, WA
